FORUM as an example of best practice in national news program
As a positive example of flexible working hours, FORUM was mentioned on Sunday, June 8, on ZDF heute journal – a renowned national news program – on the subject of “Working longer, but more flexibly”. The background to the report is the new German government’s plans to switch from a maximum daily working time to a maximum weekly limit. This is intended to make working hours more flexible overall and increase the number of hours worked nationwide. FORUM MEDIA GROUP already offers many flexible working time models and was happy to answer ZDF’s questions on this topic.
Positive impact for companies and employees
Katrin Krauß-Herkert is CFO of the FORUM MEDIA GROUP and has three young children. In order to achieve the best possible work-life balance, she arranges her working hours flexibly. She also offers this option to her employees. “We have a wide variety of working time models. In most jobs, hours can be worked in the mornings, afternoons or evenings to best suit individual needs,” she explains.
FORUM can confirm that flexible working hours can help to increase the number of hours worked. In the ZDF report, software developer Lena Kämmerer shares her thoughts. She is a single parent and only works full-time because she can organize her time flexibly.
Practiced flexibility
As an international media group and at the same time a locally rooted employer, the Forum Media Group has been committed to modern models of flexible working hours for years. In addition to part-time models with every conceivable number of hours, flexitime and home office arrangements ensure performance, motivation and team spirit even in challenging times.
FORUM is delighted that ZDF heute journal picked up on this forward-looking approach in its program on June 8. You can find the report online at: https://www.zdfheute.de/video/heute-journal/laenger-arbeiten-flexibel-100.html
